Become an Egg Donor
Becoming an egg donor is an opportunity to give someone else a way to realize the dream of becoming a parent.
Why Become an Egg Donor?
Donating your eggs is one of the most personal, generous, and meaningful gifts you can give. Egg donation gives the genuine feeling of satisfaction for helping another human being become a parent. You will also be paid for your time and selfless generosity.
Egg Donor Eligibility:
We screen our egg donors prior to accepting them into our donor program or uploading them as a potential donor on our registry. With this approach, egg donor candidates are compensated throughout the egg donation screening process based on the amount of time and effort they have committed.
Compensation
You will be compensated generously for your time, commitment, and dedication. Total compensation is received after the egg donation. Compensation increases are given to donors who fully commit to egg donation with the Fertility Centers of Illinois. Individual cycle donations can compensate as high as $8,000 per cycle.
All of your medical prescreening costs are covered during your egg donation cycle. Therefore, donors do not need to have their own health insurance. We provide you with complimentary health insurance during your treatment with us.

The Donation Process
Egg donation is a low-risk procedure. The cycle, from your start date to egg retrieval, takes an average of two to three months to complete. You will need to take a daily injectable fertility medication for about 10 to 14 days in order to help your body in develop and grow eggs for the egg retrieval. In addition, you will complete roughly six to nine quick blood/ultrasound monitoring appointments in the mornings to monitor your progress during this time.
The egg retrieval itself takes approximately 20 minutes. Egg donors are sedated throughout the procedure. After completing the egg retrieval, you will need to rest for the remainder of the day. Afterward, you may experience short-term fatigue, nausea, vomiting, or sleepiness. We require a friend or family member pick you up following the procedure and recommend 24 hours of rest.
