According to the CDC, one in eight couples have trouble getting pregnant or sustaining a pregnancy. The 2018 theme of National Infertility Awareness Week with RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association is #FliptheScript, a theme that aims to change the conversation and get patients, doctors, and the wider community talking about infertility.
In honor of National Infertility Awareness Week (NIAW) April 22-28, we are reaching out to the medical community in order to build awareness, share educational resources, and offer free fertility testing to your patients.
New patients can book a free Fertility Awareness Checkup, a $90 value, anytime from April 22 – June 30. This checkup involves a blood test and ultrasound for women, which will evaluate ovarian supply and fertility potential. A semen analysis conducted by a professional andrologist will evaluate the count, shape, and motility of sperm. Women can undergo the free checkup with or without a partner. All testing must be complete within 60 days of the initial appointment.
We also want to ask for your support for Illinois House Bill 2617 which would amend state insurance law and require fertility preservation coverage for patients with medically-induced infertility, such as those who undergo cancer treatment. You can easily support the bill by sending a letter to your lawmakers online at http://bit.ly/oncofertilitybill.
To make a free appointment for a Fertility Awareness Checkup or learn about our free NIAW events, patients can call 877-324-4483 or visit fcionline.com/niaw. To submit a patient referral, please visit fcionline.com/refer.
Thank you for your support of the infertility community during National Infertility Awareness Week and all throughout the year.
