Can you describe your role at FCI?
Here at FCI, I play the role of Information Technology Manager, which involves overseeing daily system performance and supporting our clinics. This includes providing support to employees, doctors, nurses, and at times, patients, with their daily IT issues such as printers, email, scanning, and phones, just to name a few.
How long have you been with FCI?
I have been with FCI since April 4, 2016.
What made you decide to work in fertility?
It wasn’t a personal decision, I have always wanted to work in hospitals or clinics to gain a better understanding of specific medical terminologies. I may not know much about fertility, but I can now talk about IUI treatments and IVF cycles with anyone in a very professional manner.
What do you love about your role?
I love being able to assist others when it matters, and my role allows me do that every day. I make sure that a patient doesn’t have to wait too long to get a receipt printed out, and that our system is reliable and user-friendly.
What is your proudest moment at FCI?
My proudest moment was when I had a quick conversation with our CEO, Mr. Marcus Williamson, and he taught me about the importance of eye contact during any conversation. That was an amazing moment.
You see everyone go through the ups and downs. How do you support patients?
When I get a chance to be face-to-face with a patient, I always make sure I greet him/her in a professional manner so they know we value their business. I have also helped explain how to use the TV and technological devices before men use the collection room.
What is a quote that inspires you?
“We may encounter many defeats but we must not be defeated”
