Fertility Centers of Illinois is conducting a research study to determine if Preimplantation Genetic Screening (PGS) will reduce Spontaneous Abortion rates and increase ongoing pregnancy rates in patients 37-42 years of age undergoing in-vitro Fertilization (IVF). PGS is a highly specialized technique to determine the genetic make-up of embryos following in-vitro Fertilization.
STUDY CRITERIA
If you meet the criteria below, you may be a candidate for this study:
Volunteers Must:
- Premenopausal female, with a normal screening FSH
- Age 37-42
- Regular menstrual cycles every 25-35 days
Volunteers Must Not:
- Have a medical history of a chromosomal or genetic disorders
- Have had a previous IVF Cycle indicating a poor response (retrieval of 3 or less eggs)
- Have had 3 or more IVF cycles without a clinical pregnancy
Additional screening will be conducted to determine if you are eligible to participate. Women who qualify and undergo an IVF treatment cycle will receive a reduction in the IVF fees. Women who are assigned to participate in PGS will receive PGS at no cost.
