Fertility Centers of Illinois is one of the most reputable fertility centers in the country, with a team of experts specifically dedicated to collaborative reproduction. We perform more than 400 egg donation cycles every year. Throughout your time with Fertility Centers of Illinois, you’ll only be working with our team. Our doctors. Our nurses. Our facilities.

By keeping Fertility Centers of Illinois’ egg donor program completely in-house, we’re able to give you the most reliable prescreened donor candidates, while retaining a high success rate and patient satisfaction. Our team personally recruits, screens, and matches all of the egg donors in our anonymous donor program. Our easy-to-use, secure online database allows you to search through the donor profiles for specific criteria such as ethnicity, education, or physical appearance.

Our Center for Collaborative Reproduction was designed specifically with you in mind. We understand that each case is unique, and we strive to provide you with the highest level of physical and emotional support throughout your journey.

Anonymous Donor or Known Donor

Anonymous Donor – You may prefer to keep your donor’s identity confidential. You and your family will be able to extensively review the donor’s medical and genetic history, physical attributes, and photographs, but the donor will not receive information about you.

Known Donor (or Open Donation) – An open donation may also occur if you have a friend, a sister, or another relative who is willing and able to help you start your family. It is very important that all parties have discussed their long-term expectations of the relationship.  Our staff psychologist will guide you through this part of your journey.  All involved will usually have agreed to share pertinent information including full names, addresses, and occupations. Many times, the intended parents and donor will meet in person (or talk on the phone) and get to know each other before moving forward.  There are several important steps for screening your donor.

Using Donor Eggs

If you decide to use an anonymous donor, know that our experienced staff personally recruits, screens, and matches all of the egg donors in our anonymous donor program. We have a secure, easy-to-use, online database that allows intended parents to search through our donor profiles for specific criteria such as ethnicity, education, or physical attributes. Our staff will work closely with you and provide hands-on management throughout the process, including the medical, legal, and psychological aspects involved.

For parents considering using frozen eggs, Fertility Centers of Illinois is the only Midwest clinic partnering with Donor Egg Bank USA, the nation’s only frozen donor egg program to be developed through a collaboration of over 100 reproductive specialists throughout the country.

Choosing the Right Donor

Choosing your egg donor is a wonderful step in your journey to parenthood — a step that will move you down the path to treatment and on to parenthood.

There is no one right way to choose an egg donor; every person or couple handles it differently. You may have preferences in choosing an egg donor, and we encourage you to speak with your fertility specialist or donor nurse coordinator if you have questions or feel strongly about a preference. It can also be helpful to talk through the options with one of our on-staff psychologists.
